Tava Guide includes two ways to browse providers depending on the flow of the conversation:
- Add member details first, then search for providers before scheduling.
- Use the dedicated Providers tab to browse and filter providers, then add the member.
What you can do in the Providers tab
- Browse providers
- Compare fit and availability
- 200+ filters across availability, demographics, methodology, and more
- Toggle virtual vs. in-person
- Create a member and schedule after choosing a provider and time slot
How to browse providers
- Open Tava Guide and select Providers from the left-hand navigation.
- Use the available search and filter options to narrow your results. Depending on your partner workflow, this may include details like state, insurance, visit format, or other practical fit criteria.
- Use the virtual / in-person toggle if you want to narrow the results by visit type.
- Review provider options and availability based on the member’s preferences.
- Once you find a good option, you can either:
- move forward with scheduling, or
- share provider options with the member by email
The Providers tab supports a provider-first workflow, giving care navigators the flexibility to start with the provider and available appointment time, then add the member afterward. This creates more flexibility during member conversations, so you can schedule without stopping the discussion flow to collect demographic details upfront.
This is especially helpful when on the phone with a member, booking right after a live conversation, or moving quickly through follow-up tasks.
Best practices
- Use the Providers tab when speed matters and you want to find a workable option first.
- Add the member’s insurance to automatically show in-network providers
If the member wants to review choices before booking, use Share providers with a member instead of scheduling immediately.
